Lead Dietitian – Care Homes and Care at Home

This is an exciting prospect for an experienced, registered Dietitian to provide skilled leadership associated with the provision of food, fluid and nutritional care to staff within registered care services, including Care Homes and Care at Home services. The role works in collaboration with Lead Dietitians, Advanced Dietetic Practitioners in Frailty and other colleagues across the Health & Social Care Partnership.

Responsibilities Provide professional leadership in the delivery of nutritional care to staff within Care Homes and Care at Home services. Engage, motivate and influence a workforce under pressure to achieve service efficiencies, enhanced quality and improved patient outcomes. Collaborate closely with the Collaborative Care Home Team, Lead Nurses, Adult Social Care, Senior Managers and local, private and third‑sector care providers. Support the creation of new projects, promote evidence‑based practice and support undergraduate student placements. Travel across the area as required; a full driving licence is essential.

Qualifications & Experience Registered Dietitian with substantial experience in a care setting. Excellent organisational, clinical and communication skills; proactive and forward‑thinking. Ability to demonstrate innovative ways of working and motivate and influence staff. Knowledge of motivational interviewing and understanding of health inequalities would be an advantage. Commitment to quality improvement and service development within a quick‑paced and evolving health and social care system.
