We are currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced Learning Support Centre (LSC) Teacher Aides/Learning Coaches for multiple part time and casual positions starting this term. Working term-time only, these roles offer a rewarding career with the added benefit of working with a outstanding team. As a Teacher's Aide/Learning Coach, you will assist classroom teachers in enhancing student learning and engagement across our Primary and/or Secondary campuses, providing academic, social, and emotional support to students with diverse needs. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Individual & Group Support: Assisting students with literacy, numeracy, and general tasks, working one-on-one or with larger groups.
- IEP Support: Reviewing and implementing Individual Education Programs (IEPs) to guide and track student progress.
- Mentorship & Social Skills: Guiding students in developing organizational habits, independence, and social skills.
- Supervision & Welfare: Supervising educational activities (including excursions and specialist sessions), playground/bus duties, and administering first aid as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Working closely with teachers, LSC coordinators, and specialists to maintain a safe, agile learning environment. We are seeking warm, empathetic, and organized professionals who connect authentically with students, families, and staff in this role. You will be a great communicator with strong customer service skills, understanding that the students are your customers. You will have excellent flexibility and be able to pivot your support to ensure the student has the best outcome. You will have outstanding patience and a calm demeanor, even when under pressure. Role & Candidate requirements;
- Education Support Certificate III (or equivalent experience).
- Current First Aid and CPR.
- Valid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Substantial experience (preferably 5+ years) in learning support, education support, or social work.
- Experience working with students from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
- Experience implementing IEPs and/or creating modified learning resources.
- Confidence leading large groups of students during specialist sessions. What we can offer the successful candidate;
