Field Consultant (Colac)

Victorian Group Training Co Ltd is a leading Group Training Organisation (GTO) dedicated to providing training and employment opportunities to people across all cohorts and diversity groups throughout Victoria. We partner with host employers to create pathways across all industries through apprenticeships and traineeships, ensuring they receive the support, guidance, and skills needed to succeed.

**About the Role**

We are seeking a proactive and motivated **Field Consultant** to join our energetic team to service Colac and the South West. This role is pivotal in ensuring the success of our apprentices and trainees, across all cohorts and diversity groups, by providing ongoing support, monitoring progress, and maintaining strong relationships with host employers. **Key Responsibilities**
- Manage and grow a caseload of apprentices and trainees, ensuring their wellbeing and development and career progression.
- Conduct regular workplace visits to monitor progress, address concerns, and provide tailored support.
- Work closely with host employers to ensure a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment.
- Facilitate performance reviews and ensure compliance with training plans.
- Provide guidance on workplace issues, training requirements, and career development.
- Ensure all contractual, compliance and regulatory requirements are met.
- Identify opportunities for new business and host employer engagement to expand training and employment opportunities.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Experience in apprenticeship/traineeship coordination, recruitment, or workforce development.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and provide mentorship.
- A passion for supporting young people and individuals in their career journeys.
- The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of the VET sector (desirable).
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel for site visits.
- Current Working with Children Check
