Coordinator Financial Accounting (Colac)

Senior Financial Accountant – Short-Term Contract Colac | 8-Week Assignment | $67 p.h. + Super An experienced Senior Financial Accountant is required to provide short-term support to a local council finance team during a busy reporting period. This is a hands-on contract role suited to someone who can step in quickly, work autonomously and provide immediate support across reporting, compliance and general finance functions. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial reports and annual financial statements
- Support month-end and year-end processes, reconciliations and reporting
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure data integrity
- Assist with audit coordination and compliance requirements
- Support BAS, FBT and other taxation obligations
- Monitor cash flow, treasury and financial operations
- Provide support across budgeting and forecasting activities
- Contribute to process improvements and finance team support as required About You
- CPA/CA qualified (or working towards)
- Strong background in financial accounting and reporting
- Experience preparing financial statements and working within compliance frameworks
- Advanced Excel and financial systems capability
- Able to manage priorities and work independently in a fast-paced workplace
- Local government experience highly regarded, but not essential Contract Details
