About the role Reporting to the Clinical Content Lead, you will develop clear, accurate and accessible health information for people living with blood cancer, their families and carers. You will translate complex clinical and wellbeing information into trusted, evidence-informed content that supports understanding, self-management and informed decision-making across the blood cancer journey. You will work across clinical, digital and consumer channels to ensure all content is health-literate, accessible, and aligned with governance and quality standards. This role can be based at any of our Leukaemia Foundation offices in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide. Key responsibilities
- Develop, review and update clinical, health and wellbeing content in line with editorial and governance standards
- Translate complex clinical information into clear, consumer-friendly language
- Manage content lifecycle activities including drafting, review, approval and scheduled updates
- Ensure accuracy through clinical review and risk assurance processes
- Produce content across multiple formats including digital, print, scripts and infographics
- Adapt content for different audiences, channels and stages of the blood cancer experience
- Collaborate with clinicians, researchers, subject matter experts and consumer contributors
- Support content reporting, evaluation and continuous improvement
- Ensure content meets health literacy, accessibility and inclusive language standards About you You are a skilled health communicator who can translate complex medical information into clear, engaging, and accessible content for consumer audiences. You will bring:
- Experience writing or editing health, medical or wellbeing content
- Strong ability to simplify complex clinical information
- Excellent written communication skills
- Experience working within content governance, review or approval processes
- Robust organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Understanding of health literacy and accessible communication principles
- Experience working with digital content platforms (e.g. CMS) Desirable:
- Experience in cancer, chronic illness or supportive care content
- Experience creating multimedia content (video, audio or scripts)
- Experience in healthcare, research or not-for-profit environments Additional requirements
- Relevant qualification or equivalent experience
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to commencement
- Successful completion of relevant probity, police and reference checks
- Ability to work outside standard hours when required
- Ability to travel domestically if required What we offer
