Student Administration Officer (Carlton)

Milestones Education is a provider of courses to overseas students. Our main purpose is to make the learning experience in Australia extraordinary. We are seeking a student support officer to join our team.

What we are looking for:

- Contributing to the continuous improvement of student systems and internal processes
- Managing student enrolments and general administrative duties
- Provide assistance to ‘at risk students’ to help them with their study skills or other related areas, including the formation of Intervention Strategies.
- Provide assistance to international students in cultural acclimatization
- Provide assistance to domestic students in raising their awareness of cultural differences
- Provide career and soft skills advise
- Organise on-campus job-seeking activities including one on one with students and group workshops.
- Assist in all areas of Student welfare, including Study Skills programs and career seminars.
- Work on programs that will assist the integration of domestic and international students and look at functions that will benefit their personal development.
- Establish and maintain links between the college and other related government agencies or pathway providers when required, pertaining to students’ matters.
- Establish links and liaise closely with a range of external independent service providers to organize referrals for students to seek further assistance e.g. medical, legal, and taxation matters.
- Promote best practice principles for occupational health and safety

Key selection criteria include:

- Experience working in Education environments
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, Outlook) and database
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to meet deadlines and priorities

- $65,329.15 per year
