- Full time ongoing | Classification: Psychologist Grade 5
- Location: 505 Hoddle St, Clifton Hill 3068. May be required to work at other sites from time to time. About the role The Lead Psychologist, Community Operations & Manager, Problem Behaviour Program (PBP) is a senior clinical leadership and management position at the Community Forensic Mental Health Service (CFMHS) and contributes to service planning and development as well as providing expert consultancy and advice to other agencies and key stakeholders. As the Lead Psychologist, Community Operations & Manager you will:
- Lead psychology programs at CFMHS, including delivery of the Problem Behaviour program
- Provide senior leadership for Psychological Services within the Community Directorate
- Contribute to organisational strategy and oversee performance reporting (KPIs and service metrics) What You Will Bring You are a seasoned senior clinician and leader with deep expertise in forensic mental health, complex behavioural presentations and evidence‑based intervention models. Specifically, you will bring:
- Registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Hold general registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) or, for overseas-trained psychologists, be eligible for a PsyBA transitional program to attain general registration.
- Has completed a minimum of a Level 3 and 4 APAC‑accredited Psychology training sequence (i.e., Masters or Doctorate) in one or more of the following Areas of Practice Endorsement (AoPE): Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, and/or Forensic Psychology.
- Must have or be eligible for an Area of Practice Endorsement (AoPE) in clinical psychology, clinical neuropsychology, and/or forensic psychology.
- Psychologists with Forensic AoPE alone will need to demonstrate the necessary education, training, and experience in clinical psychology needed to work in forensic mental health settings.
- At least ten years of experience in providing services in forensic mental health or related settings.
- Expertise in clinical forensic mental health practice including assessment and treatment of mentally disordered offenders and behaviourally or sexually disordered clients in individual and group formats.
- Influenza and Immunisation Evidence
- This position is subject to a Police Check
- Salary packaging up to $9,010 + $2,650 meal allowance per year
