Senior Accountant South Perth Location $100K
- 120K + Super Flexible Working Arrangements (WFH & Flexible schedule) Our client is a leading security services company providing high-quality security solutions to government departments and public sector organisations. Due to ongoing growth, this is a newly created position looking for an in-house Senior Accountant to join their strong team. About the Role This position will see you overlooking a small team of administrators and bookkeepers, leading day-to-day operations with flexible working arrangements, based out of their South Perth office. What will this position entail?
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts
- Managing general ledger reconciliations and month-end/year-end closing processes
- Ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards, taxation regulations, and government contract requirements
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Liaising with external auditors, government agencies, and regulatory bodies
- Providing financial analysis and recommendations to senior management
- Mentoring and supporting junior accounting staff How can I be successful?
- Minimum 5 years of strong accountant experience
- CPA qualified and experience working with Xero
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax legislation
