Allied Health Assistant (Bundewallah)

Your Prospect You will work under the direction of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to deliver high-quality clinical services in Residential Aged Care. The role includes both clinical and administrative responsibilities. As part of our award-winning (2023 Allied Health Award for Innovative Product Excellence) Plena Care Pathway, you’ll support evidence-based mobility and functional programs, care plan reviews, 1:1 therapy interventions, and group-based active ageing services tailored to resident goals. To be eligible, you must hold a Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance. Your Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering all physiotherapy services in accordance with the Plena Healthcare operating procedures and policies.
- Service RAC clients in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals treatment plan.
- Transport residents to and from the therapy gym area or their appointments, under the direction of physiotherapists/occupational therapists.
- Set up and pack away the physiotherapy gym, including cleaning both the area and equipment.
- Collect referrals and other administrative tasks as guided by physiotherapists.
- Order prescribed equipment.
- Run exercise groups/programs.
- Support initiatives to meet client/contract expectations.
- Consult with physiotherapists/occupational therapists regarding adaptations, changes, or progressions of treatment plans for clients as appropriate.
- Participate in mentoring, supervision, and appraisals in line with Plena Healthcare’s policy and procedure.
