Job Overview

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Workshop Assistant to join our small team. This role is key to making sure our garden baskets are top-notch in quality and look great. If you have an eye for detail, love working with your hands, and can keep up in a fast-paced environment, this job might be for you.

What You'll Do
- Put together garden baskets: Carefully assemble garden baskets following design specs, making sure they’re finished at a high quality.
- Check quality: Inspect finished baskets to make sure they meet our quality standards and fix any issues.
- Handle materials: Organise and manage materials and tools needed for assembly and finishing, keeping things running smoothly.
- Maintain tools: Keep tools and equipment in good shape and report any problems to your supervisor.
- Stay safe: Follow all safety guidelines to keep yourself safe.

What We're Looking For
- Experience: Previous experience in assembly or finishing work, ideally in a similar industry.
- Attention to detail: Great eye for detail to ensure precision and quality in every basket.
- Manual dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination and manual skills for handling delicate tasks.
- Problem-solving: Able to identify and fix issues during the assembly and finishing process.
- Time management: Strong organisational skills to manage your time well and meet deadlines.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with tools and equipment used in assembly and finishing.

Education
- Vocational training or certification in a related field is a plus.

Working Conditions
- This job involves standing for long periods and doing repetitive tasks.
- You’ll work with different materials and finishes, which might include exposure to fumes or dust.
- You’ll need to wear protective gear like gloves, masks, and eyewear.
- Standard working hours with some overtime as needed to meet production goals.
