- $85K PA Atkinsons Airconditioning Pty Ltd is looking for a full time Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Mechanic for their thriving business. Atkinsons Airconditioning is a trusted Sunshine Coast air conditioning specialist with over 35 years of industry experience, providing high-quality residential and commercial air conditioning solutions across Coolum Beach and surrounding areas. Their services include the supply, installation, maintenance, and repair of split system, ducted, and commercial HVAC systems, backed by qualified technicians, ARCtick certification, and a strong reputation for customer service and workmanship. As authorised Fujitsu specialists, Atkinsons Air is known for delivering reliable, energy-efficient climate control solutions tailored to homes, offices, retail spaces, hospitals, and large commercial developments. To be considered for the role, you need to have a relevant industry qualification or at least 2-3 years' experience in a similar position. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Install, maintain, service, and repair commercial and residential air conditioning and refrigeration systems
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on split systems, ducted systems, refrigeration units, and ventilation equipment
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance and system inspections to ensure optimal performance and compliance
- Test electrical circuits, components, controls, and refrigerant systems using specialised diagnostic equipment
- Install compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, fans, ductwork, piping, and associated equipment
- Recover, vacuum, test, and recharge refrigerant systems using gas and fluid pressure testing methods and vacuum pumps, in accordance with industry regulations and environmental standards.
- Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, plans, and specifications for installation and repair works
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with required Standards, WHS requirements, and company procedures
- Identify and recommend system upgrades, repairs, and energy-efficient solutions to clients where required
- Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Liaise professionally with customers, suppliers, and team members regarding job requirements and project updates
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in a safe and clean condition
- Assist with emergency breakdown services
- Work collaboratively with with the team, including providing guidance and on-the-job training
- Ensure high standards of workmanship, customer service, and attention to detail across all projects YOU MUST BE.
