Job Description Oaks Lake Crackenback resort are looking for a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join our dynamic Kitchen team on a casual basis. This role includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts with flexibility across all seven days, including weekends and public holidays. Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Assist with preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes across all sections of the kitchen.
- Team Support: Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and smooth operations during busy periods.
- Kitchen Standards: Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Learning and Development: Take initiative to develop culinary skills and grow within a supportive and qualified kitchen environment. Shift Details
- Rotating roster Monday to Sunday
- Split shifts required on some days Hourly Rates (excluding super)
- Monday
- Friday: $35.15 per hour
- Saturday: $42.18 per hour
- Sunday: $49.21 per hour Qualifications
- Hold relevant Certificate III cookery qualifications and previous experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of Modern Australian Cuisine.
- Knowledge and understanding of HACCP and OH&S.;
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends.
- Ability to work under pressure within a dynamic team environment.
- Ability to coach and motivate less experienced members of the kitchen team.
- Self‑motivated and able to work without supervision.
