Accountant (Cooma)

The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design and construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world. Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme’s history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on‑demand energy and large‑scale storage for many generations to come. Future Generation Joint Venture (Webuild, Clough & Lane) is delivering Snowy 2.0 and is looking for a motivated Accountant to join our Finance & Control team. What you’ll be doing
- Assisting with Accounts Receivable processing and reporting
- Supporting Accounts Payable activities and invoice authorisations
- Helping prepare monthly financial accounts and management reports
- Performing variance analysis on budgets, GL and project cost data
- Completing general ledger reconciliations
- Supporting fixed asset management and record‑keeping
- Assisting in the improvement of internal controls and reporting frameworks
- Helping maintain compliance with audit, tax and regulatory requirements
- Providing financial support to internal stakeholders across Procurement, Cost Control, Construction and more
- Supporting job costing analysis and general accounting tasks
- Liaising with external auditors as required What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
- CA/CPA (completed or working towards)
- Strong Excel skills and high computer literacy
- Experience with SAP or another ERP (preferred)
- Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable experience (advantageous)
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- Initiative, problem‑solving ability and a willingness to learn

Project sites are located within the Snowy Mountains and National Park, requiring strong environmental awareness and compliance.
