We are seeking an **Electrical Engineer** to conduct engineering activities across **Electronic Warfare (EW), Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD), Counter-Uncrewed Air System (C-UAS) and Communications Systems** projects.

This role sits within our **Rapid Capability Delivery** organisation, where engineering teams work at pace to design, integrate, trial, and deliver capability in response to evolving operational needs.

You will apply **electrical engineering expertise** within multidisciplinary teams to support design maturation from concept through to verification and delivery.

**Key Responsibilities**

+ Contribute to system design activities, including trade studies, to ensure electrical designs are consistent with system baselines and meet performance requirements. + Perform technical risk analysis to support hazard logs, safety cases, and risk mitigation activities. + Develop and implement assigned electrical systems and sub‑systems in accordance with applicable standards, procedures, and design requirements. + Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high‑quality engineering outcomes and reinforce Raytheon’s reputation as a trusted partner in systems integration and mission support.

**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**

+ Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent) + Experience designing electronics enclosures and integrating components into enclosures, preferably in a defence environment. + Experience with electronic design software packages. + Experience in producing manufacture drawings in accordance with recognised standards. + Ability to work in a multidisciplined team environment with systems, mechanical and specialty engineers. + Ability to design systems to specified requirements and develop documentation to demonstrate compliance. + Experience designing for maintenance access, cooling analysis, and cable routing design is desirable. + Excellent written and oral communications skills. + Experience in a Defence related industry is desirable. + Eligibility to obtain and maintain Australian Government (Defence) Security Clearance up to Negative Vetting Level 1.
