We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to conduct engineering activities across Electronic Warfare (EW), Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD), Counter-Uncrewed Air System (C-UAS) and Communications Systems projects. This role sits within our Rapid Capability Delivery organisation, where engineering teams work at pace to design, integrate, trial, and deliver capability in response to evolving operational needs.
You will apply electrical engineering expertise within multidisciplinary teams to support design maturation from concept through to verification and delivery. - Contribute to system design activities, including trade studies, to ensure electrical designs are consistent with system baselines and meet performance requirements.
- Perform technical risk analysis to support hazard logs, safety cases, and risk mitigation activities.
- Develop and implement assigned electrical systems and sub‑systems in accordance with applicable standards, procedures, and design requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high‑quality engineering outcomes and reinforce Raytheon’s reputation as a trusted partner in systems integration and mission support. Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience designing electronics enclosures and integrating components into enclosures, preferably in a defence environment.
- Experience with electronic design software packages.
- Experience in producing manufacture drawings in accordance with recognised standards.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplined team environment with systems, mechanical and specialty engineers.
- Ability to design systems to specified requirements and develop documentation to demonstrate compliance.
- Experience designing for maintenance access, cooling analysis, and cable routing design is desirable.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Experience in a Defence related industry is desirable.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain Australian Government (Defence) Security Clearance up to Negative Vetting Level 1.
