Blaster Painter Young

Apollo Fabrication Group are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Blaster Painter to join their team in Young NSW. Responsibilities
- Surface preparation of steel for painting, safely using chemicals and a range of hand tools
- Clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents, or otherwise prepare fabricated steel items for application of paint and or other protective coatings.
- Operate various equipment, such as blast pots and spray guns.
- Knowledge of various painting methods and applications
- Sandblasting, abrasive and chemical techniques, masking and etching of applications.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprint, sketches, and drawings.
- Secure operation of tools and equipment
- Grinding, sanding, and polishing of steel
- Understanding of painting, caulking, and sealing and putting them in to practice
- Ability to apply all types of coatings using various application methods. Skills & Abilities
- Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application or relevant
- Ideally have 3 years’ experience within relevant or similar field
- Ability to work in a team workplace. Salary and Position Salary range is $70,000
