Medical Receptionist (Craigieburn)

We have an opportunity for an **Experienced Medical Receptionist** to join our team.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Open and Close clinic as per set procedure
- Greet patients and other callers in a skilled and courteous manner
- Make appointments for patients
- Ensure medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently
- Accurately process patient payments via cash, Eftpos, and direct bill transaction.
- Invoice Medicare, Private Health Funds, TAC, Workcover.
- Knowledge of the MBS schedule and correct billing procedures
- Deal with referring doctors, hospital staff, pharmacists etc courteously and helpfully
- Attend to patient inquiries
- Fill in the roster when staff is away, on holidays and sick leave.
- Maintain the reception waiting area and consulting rooms tidy including the clean up of spills if necessary.
- Ensure the accurate storage and retrieval of patient and practice records with appropriate scanning, faxing, and filing of all documents.
- At all times maintain the confidentiality of patient personal and financial information.
- Complete recalls.
- Support the day to day operations of the medical center.
- Exceptional customer service and teamwork skills.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Experience using Best Practice desirable.

**We are currently looking for a Medical Receptionist with a minimum of 2 years General Practice experience to join our team.**
