Disability Support Worker Roxburgh Park

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide essential support and care to individuals with disabilities, assisting them in their daily activities and fostering their independence and well-being. You will worker closely with clients, their families, and the administrative staff to create a protected and inclusive environment that promotes personal growth and enhances their quality of life.

General Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct support to participants with disabilities, following a support plan and individualised goals.

Promote a positive and inclusive setting that respects the rights, choices, and dignity of each participant.

Engage participants in meaningful activities, promoting socialisation, skill development, and community integration

In accordance with organisational policies, thoroughly and immediately record participants' progress, observations, and behaviours. Before clocking out at the end of every shift, information such as those stated above should be recorded.

Report regularly to your allocated supervisor.

Participate in meetings, case conferences, and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Participate in Performance Review meetings to encourage positive, ongoing development, progress and ensure you are healthy and protected.

Report any quality and safety incidents or hazards at work to the manager/supervisor.

Collaborate with the participants' care teams to contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of their tailored plan. This includes liaising with allied health professionals to implement strategies and programs that will encourage progress towards achieving their goals.

Salary: $35.00
- $40.00 per hour
