- Perioperative Serviceslocations: Berwick, Victoriatime type: Part timeposted on: Posted Todaytime left to apply: End Date: May 29, 2026 (26 days left to apply)job requisition id: JR-**Your role at St John of God Berwick Hospital** We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Associate Nurse Unit Manager for Perioperative Services – Anaesthetic on a fixed‐term basis until May 2027.This role plays a key leadership function within the perioperative team, supporting the overall clinical management of the perioperative environment and delivering high‐quality,patient‐centred care.The Associate Nurse Unit Manager provides supervision and support to junior staff, contributes to safe and effective service delivery, and deputises for the Nursing Unit Manager as required.**The Position:*** Provide leadership and direction to team and act as a role model and resource person.* Responsible for assisting the Perioperative Services Manager in following issues pertaining to human resources within the department.* Maintains and promotes harmonious interpersonal relationships and effective team work between staff, patient, relative, doctors and ancillary staff.* Participate as a valued team member promoting and contributing to a supportive team environment* Participate in, contribute to and implement quality improvement and risk management into all aspects of service.* Participate in the documentation of Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures for activities that could pose an OHS risk.* Demonstrates progress towards the achievement of goals and personal and professional growthYou will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, you will have well developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of acts and legislation that impact on the practice of nursing.
