Role Description The Bookkeeper role at Metis Consulting is a permanent part-time (2-3 days PW) with scope to grow, both on-site and off site position located in North Sydney, N.S.W. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, preference will be given to candidates who have worked in Travel Industry. Position requires maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements. The Bookkeeper/accountant will perform bank reconciliations, record and review journal entries, and work with accounting software to ensure all financial transactions are accurately processed. The role involves collaborating with team members to support clients' financial needs and adhering to professional standards and compliance requirements. You will work independently and report to the client management in delivering outstanding Administration, accounting and operational support. As mentioned Travel industry experience is highly desirable where accuracy, timeliness and completeness are critical to this role. Qualifications
- Proven experience in Bookkeeping and working with Financial Statements
- Proficiency in using Accounting Software and managing Journal Entries
- Strong understanding of Finance and general accounting principles
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently
- Experience in the healthcare industry or similar environments is an advantage
