Your impact, with us
As the Financial Accountant you are responsible for working closely with the business owners and wider finance team to deliver exceptional strategic practice support. Key to this role will be monthly financial accounting and operational analysis to support business decisions.
You’ll make a meaningful impact by:
- Assisting with the completion of the month-end cycle within clearly defined timelines, including accounting for key areas such as revenue, remuneration expenses, payroll, operating expenses, accruals, debtors, cash & fixed/intangibles assets, and lease accounting
- Partnering with the wider finance team to ensure all transactions are accurately reflected in the financial statements
- Supporting the Finance Manager in the completion of comprehensive analytical reviews across key P&L;/balance sheet items and proactively managing resolution of queries.
- Supporting the Finance Manager in providing analysis and commentary to the business on financial & operational performance.
- Ensure allocated balance sheet reconciliations are completed monthly with appropriate resolution of all reconciling items What you’ll bring
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- At least 4 years of relevant experience of which reasonable time has been spent in Finance roles
- Bachelor’s degree or experience considered equivalent
- Preference for CA or CPA qualifications
- Experience in a financial accounting role/function with ownership of monthly close accounting process
- Ability to organise and control disparate Finance and Accounting systems
- Significant exposure to ERP systems We would also love you to have:
- Strong technical skills and experience in Finance and Accounting
- Strong excel skills
- Adaptability to and management of change and organisational transformation
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels both verbal and written
