Software Developer (Java) (North Sydney)

Hello World! We are looking for a Software Developer (Java) that loves writing clean, elegant and efficient code and has a creative edge. This role is based in North Sydney. You will be working with us on a large variety of projects for major brands, agencies, partners, start-up entrepreneurs and new product development across a range of segments including automotive, fin-tech and payments. This role is working directly for us in an awesome team! You will be a key player working with the latest technologies in an agile environment. Your duties will include the following:
- Write code based on user stories;
- Review user story and provide estimates
- Write well-designed, efficient code with automated tests
- Deploy applications using GitHub actions;=
- Code, test and debug using Java, Spring, Angular, TypeScript, SQL;
- Maintain and update software documentation and development standards;
- Work in an Agile development environment
- Work with project managers, designers and other software developers in cross functional teams; What we are looking for:
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree + at least 3 years’ experience;
- Solid Java/Spring experience;
- Proficient in HTML, CSS and JavaScript;
- Experience with APIs (REST, JSON);
- Experience with Agile or Scrum;
- Linux experience is an advantage;
- Experience with AWS;
- Creative, motivated and pro-active with strong initiative;
- Excellent communication skills and team focused. About the role
