Description
Most graduate roles ask you to support someone else’s work. This one asks you to lead your own. IQPC is a global leader in business events, and we’re looking for ambitious graduates and early-career professionals who want to build a fast-paced, commercial career in conference production. As a Conference Producer at IQPC, you’ll research fast-moving industries, speak directly with C-suite executives, and build the programs that bring Australia’s most influential business conversations to life. It’s a rare kind of early-career role, one where you get real responsibility, real ownership, and a direct line between the work you do and the events that happen because of it. We’ve trained people from all kinds of backgrounds into this role. What they had in common wasn’t a specific degree or industry experience. It was curiosity, commercial instinct, and the confidence to pick up the phone and have a genuine conversation with a senior leader. If that sounds like you, we’d love to talk. What You’ll Actually Do
- From your first months, you’ll be working on real projects with real deadlines. With training and support, you will:
- Dive into an industry — research what’s changing, what’s at stake, and what executives are losing sleep over
- Call and interview senior leaders (CEOs, GMs, heads of function) to understand what conversations need to happen
- Design a conference program around those insights: topics, format, speaker lineup
- Source and secure high-profile speakers who bring credibility and draw
- Work with sales, marketing, and operations teams to turn your program into a live, profitable event
- Write compelling copy for brochures, websites, and campaigns that makes people want to attend
- Own your deadlines, your KPIs, and the quality of your output Who We’re Looking For We hire from all disciplines and backgrounds. You might have studied law, journalism, science, business, humanities — it genuinely doesn’t matter. What we’re looking for is:
- Curiosity about how industries work and what drives change
- Confidence speaking with people you’ve never met, including senior ones
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Organisation and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Commercial instinct — an interest in what makes a business decision worthwhile
- A collaborative mindset and the resilience to thrive in a fast-moving environment We’re open to recent graduates and people in the first 0–3 years of their career. Experience in research, recruitment, sales, media, marketing, or customer-facing roles is a bonus — but not a requirement. What IQPC Offers
- Structured onboarding and a proper training program. You won’t be thrown in the deep end alone
- Clear career progression: many of our senior producers and team leads started exactly where you will
- Profit share tied to your event performance — when your conference succeeds, you share in that
- Exposure to C-suite leaders and major organisations across Australia
- Work across industries shaping the world right now: AI, customer experience, digital transformation, defence, energy, finance, cybersecurity, and more
- A high-energy, cooperative team About IQPC IQPC is a global leader in business events, operating globally. Our conferences are platforms where industries set direction, debate ideas, and make decisions that matter. As a Producer, you’re the person who makes that happen. How to Apply Send us your CV and a short note (a few sentences is fine) on what draws you to this role and why you think you’d be good at it.
