Experienced Café Wait Staff Full Time / Part Time North Sydney

Soho on Miller Café in North Sydney is looking for an experienced Café All-Rounder / Wait Staff member to join our team.

We are a café serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, coffee and cold drinks. We are looking for someone friendly, reliable and confident working in a fast-paced café environment.

The main role is front-of-house service, including taking orders, running food and drinks, clearing tables and looking after customers. Barista experience is highly regarded, and the ability to jump on the coffee machine during busy periods would be a strong advantage.

We have both full time and part-time positions available, with mainly day shifts and early starts.

Responsibilities include:

Greeting customers and taking orders

Explaining menu items and answering customer questions

Running food, coffees and drinks to tables

Clearing and resetting tables

Assisting with cold drinks such as juices and smoothies

Making coffee when needed, depending on experience

Keeping the front-of-house area clean and organised

Working closely with the kitchen and barista team during busy service

Requirements:

Previous café or hospitality experience

Confident working in a busy, fast-paced setting

Valuable knowledge of café-style food and coffee service

Barista experience is highly regarded but not essential

Friendly, positive attitude

Strong customer service skills

Reliable, punctual and hard-working

Able to work well in a team

Available for early starts and weekend shifts

We are located in North Sydney NSW 2060, around a 10 minute walk from North Sydney train station and only 2 minutes from Victoria Cross Metro station.

Pay starts from $25.00 per hour. Award rates paid, with penalty rates where applicable. Final rate depends on age, experience, classification and employment type.
