Description
History Teacher St Aloysius' College is seeking a passionate and innovative teacher to inspire and cultivate a positive learning experience for our students. You will utilize your expertise to teach History to senior school (Years 7‑12) students while engaging in the pastoral and co‑curricular life of the College. Responsibilities
- Teach History across all senior school stages (Years 7‑12) in alignment with the NESA curriculum.
- Integrate inquiry‑based learning, differentiation strategies, and contemporary pedagogical approaches to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students.
- Design, implement, and evaluate curriculum collaboratively in accordance with College and NESA syllabus guidelines and outcomes.
- Analyse student progress data, report to parents in varied ways, and maintain up‑to‑date learning plans.
- Participate in pastoral support and co‑curricular activities as required.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and contribute to the Department’s continuous improvement. Qualifications
- Commitment to the mission of Catholic education of boys in the Jesuit tradition.
- Qualified to teach History at secondary level in line with NESA and College requirements.
- Suitable qualifications and demonstrated experience teaching History Years 7‑10.
- Ability to create a positive, supportive, and engaging classroom climate that meets academic, social, and emotional needs.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and evaluate curriculum collaboratively in accordance with College and NESA syllabus guidelines and outcomes.
- Proven ability to ensure teaching and learning activities reflect contemporary pedagogy, including inquiry‑based approaches and differentiation strategies.
- Understanding of, and ability to use, data to analyse, report on, and manage student progress, and to report to parents regularly and fully.
