About this Role Gartner’s Business Development Executives strategically acquire new clients by cultivating trust-based relationships with C-level executives to understand their critical priorities and uncover opportunities to deliver client value. They drive the full sales cycle, from identifying prospects to closing and transitioning new accounts to the account management team. What you will do
- Seek out and drive new business opportunities with current-to-Gartner organizations across the territory.
- Convert viable prospects into active Gartner clients, owning the full sales conversation and negotiation up to the transition of new clients to the account management team.
- Continually build a pipeline of high-quality opportunities to deliver against sales metrics and ensure KPIs are met.
- Manage complex high-revenue sales across matrix and diverse business environments.
- Own forecasting and account planning on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Hold quota responsibility for the assigned territory. What you will need
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience in complex, intangible sales environments.
- Business development or new-client acquisition experience in a selling role.
- Experience selling to and/or influencing C-level executives.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Proven ability to manage and forecast a complex sales process.
