The Role We’re looking for a detail-driven Financial Accountant to join our Financial Control team at Pepper Money. Based in our North Sydney office, this role plays a key part in keeping our financial operations sharp, accurate, and compliant. We’re looking for a detail-orientedFinancial Accountantto join ourFinancial Control teamin North Sydney. In this role, you’ll ensure accurate accounting and reconciliation across our corporate and trust entities, while supporting key external reporting requirements like ASX and APRA submissions, tax lodgements, and audits. You’ll also contribute to finance projects that keep us ahead of regulatory and accounting changes.External Reporting: Support Pepper Money’s external reporting by helping prepare financial statements, prudential reporting, monthly BAS and tax lodgements, audit responses, and statistical surveys.

- Accounting & Reconciliation: Manage accurate financial records and reporting for assigned areas of the business.
- External Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements, tax lodgements, audit responses, and regulatory reports.
- Project Contribution: Support finance initiatives, including assessing changes in regulations and accounting standards. About you We’re looking for someone to bring their expertise and enthusiasm to a fast-paced, purpose-led environment where your work helps shape the financial strength of our business. Ideally you’ll bring:

- Qualifications: A degree in Accounting with (or working towards) CPA or CA.
- Experience: At least 3 years in accounting and reporting, ideally within financial services.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of AASB reporting, month-end processes, and reconciliations.
- Analytical Skills: Strong Excel skills and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Communication: Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills.
