**What you'll be doing**

As a Peer Support Worker you will provide peer supported transfer of care in the receovery of consumers who are transitioning from an acute inpatient unit to the community setting. This role is responsible for providing support that facilitates a consumer recovery journey, assists individuals in navigating the mental health system, accessing external supports and provides opportunity for peer learning. Provide recovery orientated, evidence based peer support interventions to mental health consumers within a multidisciplinary team framework. This position also supports clinical staff in the provision of recovery orientated and consumer driven clinical practice by providing consultation in relation to the experience of living with a mental health disorder. The Peer Worker is also responsible for undertaking designated administrative tasks necessary to support service delivery.

**How to Apply**
- To be considered as a Graduate: Recognised Degree or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer. For further Graduate or Non-Graduate determination: Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or willingness to complete.
- Can you describe how your lived experience with a mental health condition has shaped your understanding of consumer-led recovery principles? How do you incorporate these principles into your work with individuals and groups?
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
