Based at the Toowoomba campus, this role contributes directly to students’ academic, social, and personal success within a residential college environment. It is well suited to professionals who enjoy dynamic campus settings and working closely with diverse student cohorts. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Support the academic and social success of residential college students through daily engagement and guidance – Coordinate and deliver residential initiatives such as Res PALS, academic support meetings, and referral pathways – Provide timely and accurate information to students regarding academic, wellbeing, and support services – Deliver career-focused engagement opportunities and support student leadership initiatives – Coordinate and contribute to signature residential events including Residential Awards Night, Academic Success events, Graduate Transition activities, and Valedictory Ceremony – Undertake triage and referral processes within a multidisciplinary support framework and escalate matters to the Manager (Residential Life) when required – Participate in after-hours and weekend activities, including rostered on-call responses to residential incidents – Provide high-quality administrative support across accommodation bookings, conference support, facilities coordination, invoicing, scholarships, key management, and resident engagement programs – Contribute to the development of a connected, respectful, and supportive residential community REQUIREMENTS – Diploma qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience – Demonstrated capability in delivering administrative support in a complex, high-volume environment – Experience coordinating academic or career development initiatives – Experience supporting at-risk students – Strong communication, professionalism, and organisational skills – Ability to manage competing priorities while delivering accurate, high-quality administrative services – Commitment to empathy and cultural awareness when working with diverse student cohorts – Current driver’s licence – Current Blue Card – Current First Aid and Mental Health First Aid certification, or willingness and eligibility to obtain these – Right to work in Australia WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Residential environments play a critical role in student retention, wellbeing, and academic success, particularly for students transitioning to university life.
