Trainee Driver (Toowoomba Regional)

Aurizon is seeking expressions of interest from safety focused individuals who would like undertake training to become a locomotive driver. To excel in this position you will relish to opportunity to learn new skills and put into practice what you are taught in the classroom to become a professional train operator. Responsibilities
- Ability to travel for training to an alternative site if required.
- 24x7 rotating shift roster 365 days a year including nights, weekends and public holidays,
- Apply theoretical knowledge from training to practical operation,
- Work in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures,
- Undertake Locomotive driver training and successfully complete modules within six months. Qualifications
- All-encompassing focus on safety along with outstanding interpersonal skills,
- Superior team work skills,
- Must be available to work 24/7 shift roster which includes nights, weekends and public holidays.
- Be available to commence in the next couple of months and not have any prior commitments for the first 6-9 months of the training program.
