What you’ll do
- Whilst studying a Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical or Certificate III Electrotechnology working with GM³ over 4 years, you’ll have the opportunity to work on:
- General underground duties, electrical inspections, operation of machinery, function testing, fault finding
- Electrical inspections and repairs to underground mining machinery including RTV's, gas drainage drill rigs, continuous miner, shuttle car, feeder, longwall, pumps, coal clearance conveyors and surface winders and trains.
- Inspections to ensure electrical equipment is intrinsically safe
- Read electrical diagrams, drawings or specifications to determine job requirements
- Maintain existing mining equipment
- Mechanical inspections and repairs to underground mining machinery including RTV's, gas drainage drill rigs, continuous miner, shuttle car, feeder, longwall, pumps, coal clearance conveyors and surface winders What we’re looking for

- Ability to commence in January 2027
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually
- Commitment to full term of the apprenticeship and study requirements
- Willingness to learn and develop recent skills and knowledge
- Demonstrated interest/passion in the trade Must-haves

- NSW National Police Check
