Dental Assistant (Darlinghurst)

We are looking for a Dental Assistant (part-time or casual) to join our great team primarily during the week, with some occasional half-day Saturdays. We want someone who takes pride in their work and will go the extra mile to enhance patient experience. The role is part time or casual (2
- 3 days) with a possibility of increasing hours in the future. We see patients from 8am to 6pm weekdays and from 9am to 2.30pm two Saturdays a month. Reception experience an advantage, but not essential.

**Job tasks and responsibilities**

Your day-to-day responsibilities will be:

- Assisting the dentist with clinical procedures and treatments
- Sterilisation of instruments and preparation for procedures
- Open and close down of clinical areas
- Oral hygiene and post-operative instruction with patients
- General patient support and care
- Practice stock management and equipment maintenance and testing
- Preparation of patient lab work

**Skills and experience**
- Experience as a Dental Assistant (minimum 12 months, 2 years+ preferred) and/or Dental Assistant qualifications (Cert III/IV)
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- Ability to show initiative
- Enjoy working in a team
- A sense of humour and a positive outlook.
- English to a professional standard
- IT proficiency/Willing to learn
- Willing to learn new skills
