About the Organisation Canterbury Institute of Management (CIM) is an accredited Institute of Higher Education with campuses in Sydney, Melbourne, and Darwin. About the Role CIM is seeking an experienced and analytical Marketing Specialist to support student recruitment and business growth through the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives. This is a professional role requiring a high level of responsibility in marketing strategy, market research, campaign development, pricing analysis, and performance evaluation, with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for:
- Planning, developing and implementing integrated advertising and marketing campaigns to support student recruitment and organisational growth
- Advising senior management and education agent partners on marketing strategies to effectively target domestic and international student markets
- Conducting and analysing market research on student demand, competitor activity, industry trends, and emerging opportunities for new and existing courses
- Developing and implementing marketing objectives, policies and programs aligned with CIM’s strategic and commercial goals
- Advising on pricing strategies, promotions, recruitment campaigns and distribution channels to improve market positioning and conversion outcomes
- Analysing campaign and consumer data using tools such as Google Analytics, Zoho Analytics, Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager to support strategic decision-making
- Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on the performance of advertising and digital marketing campaigns, and providing recommendations for continuous improvement
- Overseeing the development and publication of marketing content across digital platforms, including the website and social media channels
- Recommending improvements to SEO, digital content and user engagement strategies to increase visibility and lead generation
- Liaising with external marketing agencies, media providers and suppliers to coordinate campaigns and ensure alignment with brand and marketing objectives
- Performing other marketing-related duties consistent with the position of Marketing Specialist Required Qualifications and Experience To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- A Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Marketing, Business, Management or a closely related field
- At least 1 year full time demonstrated experience in:
- marketing strategy development
- advertising and campaign management
- market research and analysis
- digital marketing performance evaluation
- Strong analytical skills with experience using marketing and data analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, CRM/reporting platforms)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience working with culturally diverse stakeholders or international markets is highly regarded Employment Details
