The applicant is an experienced labourer with the ability to work with mínimal supervision or under the direction of the landscape team leader. The position works as part of a team covering all types of landscape work from turfing and retaining walls, to fencing, concrete and decking. They are able to operate a variety of equipment and have a working knowledge of structural landscaping. Applicants with carpentry/landscape experience will be highly regarded.
The applicant will need to be physically fit and able to work across a variety of conditions, with a keen eye for attention to detail a priority.
**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**: Complete duties including but not limited to the following:
- Landscape duties.
- Hard Landscaping
- Projects including paving, retaining walls, drainage, irrigation, etc. (Under supervision).
- Hard Landscaping
- Timberworks
- Fencing, Decking, Pergolas. (Under supervision).
- Operates a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to trailers, chainsaws, laser levels, grinders, and any other power tools required onsite.
- Safely operates vehicles such as light truck/ute and trailer combos.
**MAIN DUTIES**:
- Comply with and adhere to all company-regulated policies and procedures.
- Comply with and adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Daily set up and maintenance of vehicles with supplies and equipment as required for the commencement and completion of site project schedules.
- Daily completion and submission of paperwork in line with company standards, including updates to job sheets, variations, logístical information, timesheets, etc.
- Maintains a clean and protected work environment, including worksites, workshops, and equipment.
- Routinely interacts with clients when working on landscape enhancement projects, by answering questions, responding to client requests, and ensuring the client’s satisfaction
- Under team leader's supervision.
- Use of our Job management software to manage, run and cost jobs. (Fergus Software)
- Completes the necessary paperwork including work orders, timesheets and material requisitions.
- Plans and organizes the job, ensuring that sufficient resources and materials are available.
- Maintains assigned equipment and notifies management of needed repairs.
**EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**:
- [Highly Recommended] Three (3) years of landscaping experience or in a similar construction industry.
- Literacy skills.
- Working knowledge of landscaping standards
- Strong communication skills, job planning skills, problem-solving skills, and mechanical aptitude
- Experience with installation of hardscape projects preferred.
