Female Thai Speaking Support Worker (Riverhills)

Alya is seeking an experienced Female Thai Speaking Support Worker to join our growing team in Riverhills and surrounding areas. We are looking for a Support Worker who is confident, compassionate, reliable, and brings a calm and positive energy to their work. This role is suited to someone who enjoys building genuine connections with participants while maintaining professionalism and strong boundaries. This position involves supporting a mature-aged female participant living with the impacts of stroke. The participant is seeking a support worker who can provide culturally appropriate support and communicate in Thai. About the role You will be supporting a participant within the disability support space through community access, mentoring support, daily living assistance, and social engagement. This is a person-centred role focused on encouraging independence, building confidence, and creating a safe and supportive environment. Key responsibilities
- Community access and social engagement
- Daily living and household support
- Mentoring and emotional support
- Encouraging independence and routine building
- Transport to appointments and activities
- Medication prompting where required
- Maintaining professional communication and documentation
- Providing culturally appropriate support in Thai language About you
- Experienced female support worker
- Fluent in Thai with strong English communication skills
- Calm, friendly, and approachable nature
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, emotionally mature, and skilled
- Passionate about disability support and participant wellbeing
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Drivers licence and reliable vehicle preferred Experience in disability support, stroke recovery support, aged care, mental health, or community services is highly regarded. Essential requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
- Current Blue Card / Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
