Who will you be working with? You’ll join a collaborative team of engineers, fitters, fabricators, electricians, and service technicians who work closely together to design and deliver engineered systems for manufacturing, energy, mining, infrastructure, and logistics clients. You’ll also partner with senior leadership to align engineering outcomes with the company’s strategic vision. - Lead the design and delivery of complex mechanical systems, specialising in conveying and materials handling
- Provide RPEQ certification and final approval for mechanical design outputs
- Manage and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering capability and development
- Oversee business strategy, departmental structure, budgets, hiring, and compliance
- Engage directly with clients to scope, develop, and deliver tailored engineering solutions
- Provide technical input and business support for tenders and project planning
- Coordinate engineering resources, contractors, and external support teams for optimal delivery
- Ensure quality assurance, compliance, and documentation in line with ISO 9001, WHS, and Australian Standards
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and adoption of advanced technologies What do you need? Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline
- RPEQ registration and ability to certify engineering work in Queensland
- 10+ years’ engineering experience in conveying or materials handling projects
- Proven success in leading engineering teams within food & beverage, FMCG, industrial, or renewable sectors
- Experience managing diverse and international engineering teams
- Strong background in QA systems, risk management, and stakeholder engagement Preferred:
- Postgraduate qualifications in Engineering Management or Business Administration
