- Onsite Darwin Background information / Compatibility requirements Application Services is a team within DCS. DCS is a Government Business Division of the Department of Corporate and Digital Development. DCS is responsible for managing the NTG's digital data including:
- Servers (various OS), IBM Mainframes, Enterprise Storage and backup.
- Application Integration and Code modification and development.
- Two Data Centres
- Government Data Centre (GDC) and Backup Data Centre (BDC). Desired Outcomes ('Nice to haves', Conditions & Warranties, SLA's, Project advantages) Technical Lead, Team Leads, and Developers The ICT Personnel will need:
- Experience with application development lifecycle practices and Integrated Development Environments.
- Experience with mainframe specific programming subsystems and interfaces including but not limited to COBOL, CICS, TSO, QMF, ISPF, JCL, DB2, SQL, EGL, BIRT.
- Experience with mainframe modernisation development practices specifically using Rocket's LegaSuite products.
- Experience with web development and design tools and interfaces including, XML, HTML, Java Script, .NET, Sitecore to plan, coordinate, develop, test and deliver complex system releases, including migration across development, test, and production environments.
- to develop and maintain design, technical, operational and procedural documentation.
- to develop and maintain mainframe application code base.
- to provide 3rd level technical support for mainframe business information systems.
- to undertake projects and provide advice to clients on impacts to integration points.
- to cultivate and foster strong customer experience and relationship management for both internal and externalstakeholders.
- to provide advice and escalation to management on issues affecting mainframe and other related applications.
- In addition to the above, Technical Lead and Team Leads will need to provide leadership and mentoring to the application development group.
