Senior Structural Engineer (Darwin)

Senior Structural Engineer WSP Darwin has a significant amount of defence projects and is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing team. Key responsibilities Lead project work across the design, delivery and tender phases for multi-year/packaged turnkey projects. Ensure timely and quality delivery of project and structural engineering work in support of relevant technical, commercial and regulatory standards, aligned with schedules and budgets. Handle ongoing communication and maintain highly effective professional relationships with local clients. Manage stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally. Provide sound technical and delivery guidance for the team. Mentor, train and develop the careers of junior engineers. Partner with internal stakeholders and a national multidisciplinary engineering team. Experience & Skills Bachelor to Masters level degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. RPEQ qualified or close to completion. Minimum 8-12 years post-graduate industry experience. Commercial experience in Australian or New Zealand medium/large building structure engineering projects is essential. Eligibility to obtain Australian Defence full security clearance – only eligible to Australian Citizens. Exposure across local building sectors, e.g., transport, health, retail, defence. Familiar with ETABS, RAM Concept and Microstran. Solid consultancy experience in a client‐facing role with ability to lead projects. Track record of effective cross‐discipline project delivery. Experience coaching and mentoring junior engineers. Preference for candidates able to obtain Australian Defence Force security clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
