ABOUT THE ROLE Danila Dilba Health Services is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Marketing and Communications Officer to join our Communications Team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. This is a outstanding opportunity to step into a well-established role and gain valuable experience within a supportive environment. The Marketing and Communications Officer works as part of communications team to produce key organisational publications and support organisational branding and marketing functions. This role will also assist in the production and moderation of online information (social media and website) and other communication needs of DDHS business units and their engagement with clients and the community. WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Contribute to the design of communications and marketing materials which are aligned to DDHS Strategic and Operational Plans.
- Develop internal and external communications materials and content (e.g. social media, website content, intranet and newsletters).
- Provide communications support and services to DDHS business units (e.g. service point for intranet (sharepoint), social media, website posts and updates).
- Contribute to marketing and communications initiatives and promotions (working with DDHS Community Education and Engagement team).
- Contribute to core communications projects including:Management of DDHS social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, TouTube, LinkedIn), Annual Report preparation, Health Promotion materials (fact sheets, brochures, videos), Communication plans and Significant organisational events – i.e. NAIDOC Week, World No Tobacco Day, All Staff meetings. SELECTION CRITERIA Essential
- Demonstrated experience in marketing and communications, preferably in a health setting.
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated knowledge of corporate communications tools including web (Wordpress), social media and print mediums.
- Demonstrated knowledge using content creation platforms, including Indesign, Canva and Mailchimp.
- Experience in desktop publishing, photography and/or video production.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and sound judgment.
- Ability to synthesise and communicate complex information clearly and simply.
- Proven ability in preparing a range of quality documentation (e.g. annual reports / newsletters) using commonly used office applications.
- Well organised and able to manage competing deadlines.
