Position Summary We have a senior opportunity for a Construction Manager (Water Treatment) to lead all site‑based construction activities for a major $20m Design & Construct mining water treatment project located in the Northern Territory, in close proximity to Darwin. This is a key leadership role responsible for the safe, efficient and high‑quality delivery of construction works across the project lifecycle — from early works through to completion and commissioning handover. Working closely with the Project Director, you will have full support from an experienced engineering and project delivery team, allowing you to focus on driving site performance, safety, programme and subcontractor management. The role is open to permanent or contract engagement, with flexibility for either Darwin‑based candidates or those seeking a FIFO roster. Key Responsibilities
- Lead all site‑based construction activities, ensuring delivery in line with programme, budget, quality and safety objectives.
- Provide day‑to‑day leadership to project team and subcontractors.
- Drive a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with WHS, environmental and project‑specific requirements.
- Coordinate closely with the Project Director, Project Engineers and Commissioning team to ensure seamless interface between construction and commissioning.
- Oversee subcontractor performance, including scope, productivity, quality and commercial outcomes.
- Manage construction reporting, including progress, cost tracking, variations and risk management.
- Support stakeholder engagement with client, consultants and key suppliers as required. Required Experience
- Trade or tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil construction (or equivalent industry experience).
- 10+ years’ experience delivering site‑based construction works on major industrial, mining, water or infrastructure projects.
- Proven background in D&C; or EPC project environments.
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to build high‑performing site teams.
- Excellent understanding of safety systems, construction methodology and subcontractor management.
- Comfortable operating in remote or regional site locations and FIFO environments.
