Marine Engineer Class 3 | Darwin Northern Territory

- Preferably Darwin based, however FIFO will be considered for the right applicant

- Equal time roster cycle of (4) weeks on (4) weeks off Paspaley Pearling Company Pty Ltd presently has the requirement to employ a Marine Engineer to support the secure operation and maintenance of our pearling fleet vessels of various sizes. This is a fantastic opportunity for highly dedicated, reliable, and motivated Class 3 Engineer, to become part of our progressive pearling fleet. The successful candidate must hold a Diploma of Marine Engineering (Engineer Class 3 Near Coastal). They will need to be an excellent communicator, and able to sustain the highest levels of personal integrity and behaviour within an onboard crew environment whilst carrying out the management of all machinery. The Engineer Class 3 is responsible for:
- Maintenance and repair of all main and auxiliary machinery and electronics
- Correct and maintain liquid state and vessel stability
- Manage and control stores and spare parts inventory
- Maintain vessel’s engineering diary i.e. maintenance scheduling, hours run, breakdowns etc
- Develop a list of essential repairs that need to be carried out during annual refit
- Communicate with other engineers and the master of the vessel any defects that effect the performance and safety of the vessel To be considered for an Engineer Class 3 position with Paspaley, you must be looking for a long-term position, demonstrate you have previous marine industry experience, hold the relevant certifications and qualifications, be an Australian citizen or permanent resident with full work rights.
