Farm Mechanic (Darwin)

Humpty Doo Barramundi is Australia's biggest Barramundi farm. This 100% family owned and operated farm and prides itself on growing a premium saltwater Barramundi for Australia's retail and food service. Our mission is to responsibly produce beautiful Australian Barramundi while demonstrating our genuine care for and commitment to our people, fish, setting and partners. Humpty Doo Barramundi has a sizable fleet of farm and road going vehicles that require regular maintenance and servicing. We require a Deisel Fitter or Mechanic that has had experience working on farms, stations or communities. In this role you will be part of the maintenance team that looks after mobile and fixed plant. HDB has grown to be the largest producer of premium Barramundi in Australia. Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- 5 years plus post trade experience
- Trade Qualified Mechanic or Diesel Fitter
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Exposure to Auto electrical fault finding
- Automotive Air conditioning experience
- Exposure to Fixed Plant Maintenance (Gensets and Pumps)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with farm machinery
- Good Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- HR or Current driver's license
- Forklift License
- High Risk licenses DG RB CN CB highly regarded but not essential
- Current WSH & CS advantageous but not essential Experience with the following mobile equipment is highly regarded
- Toyota, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Isuzu LV's Petrol and Diesel
- Caterpillar
- Mitsubishi
- Isuzu
- Acco
- Kubota and Case Tractors
- Forklifts repairs and maintenance
