Complete assessments and other intelligence products for presentation to the multi-disciplinary decision-making team. Context statement The Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Unit is purposed to mitigate acts of violent extremism in the NT through increasing community capacity to identify and respond to behaviours of concern through: awareness raising, assessment of referrals, monitoring persons at risk, and provision of a voluntary case management service that supports vulnerable individuals to disengage from violent extremism. Key duties and responsibilities 1. Conduct screening assessments for section referrals. 2. Collect, collate and analyse information to inform assessments. 3. Contribute to decision-making on triage and engagement through participation in multi-disciplinary panels. 4. Conduct historical file reviews (for program suitability assessment). 5. Maintain contemporary understanding of the security threat landscape, particularly in relation to violent extremism and fixated threats. 1. Assist the broader team in analysis of information with a nexus to violent extremism. Selection criteria Essential 1. Demonstrated experience delivering intelligence products including risk and threat assessments and analytical reports. 2. Extensive knowledge of social media platforms, search engines and Microsoft Office applications. 3. Demonstrated ability to work in rapid-paced and complex risk environments. 4. High-level research, analytical and problem-solving skills. 5. Applicants must be an Australian Citizen and willing to obtain and maintain a national security clearance. Desirable 1. Tertiary qualifications in relevant field. 2. An understanding of violent extremism, including contemporary approaches in countering violent extremism.
