Hospital Occupational Therapist (Darwin)

12-month contract available for Senior OT. We have a unique Occupational Therapy role to offer in this Private Hospital setting. There will be a mixture of Inpatient Rehab duties. Ideally you will have at least 4 years’ experience and if you have worked in hand therapy/splinting that would be a bonus but is not essential. In addition to mentoring and supervising a Junior OT, there is also a full Lymphoedema clinic that is set up ready to go! So if you have an interest in this and would like to gain experience in this field, this could be the ideal role for you. Whilst not at work and in your spare time there is an abundance of things to do in this location – maybe take a dip in the watering holes of the Red Centre or visit the wetlands of Kakadu. A relocation allowance both from the Hospital and Government is available that would amount to 10K combined with an excellent salary of around 106K plus per year. Ideally we are looking for a Permanent Occupational Therapist looking to move their career on to the next level. Applicant will possess the following:
- Occupational Therapist with current AHPRA registration or registration pending
- A relevant qualification in the field of Occupational Therapy
- Demonstrated ability to provide effective customer focused services
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team workplace and independently as required
- Knowledge of quality/continuous improvement process
- Flexible positive approach to work
