Fixed Term, Part Time Appointment | 0.5FTE contract until March 2028 VET Academic Level A Annual salary up to $114,924 pa + 17% superannuation and 6 weeks annual leave Casuarina Campus | Larrakia Country About the Position As the Lecturer in Foundation Skills, you will be involved in curriculum and learning resource development, and support ASQA compliance and registration for the team in preparation of audits. The role contributes to growing the teaching business and anticipates and responds to industry training requirements. You will ensure that training is delivered to a high-standard whilst working under the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) Quality Framework and delivering accredited training in Foundation Skills. The role includes teaching requirements within the Department of Corrections. About You To be successful, you will require:
- Higher qualifications in LLN, TESOL or English language instruction as deemed equivalent by ACVEDT.
- Current qualification equivalent to a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent qualification as outlined by ASQA).
- Demonstrated experience providing training either within a workplace setting or educational institution.
- Experience in researching and developing training and assessment tools to meet the needs of students at Pre-Level 1 ACSF levels.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including the ability to communicate in a culturally sensitive manner with internal and external stakeholders from culturally and linguistically diverse and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds.
- Demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team.
- Competency with the Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software packages.
- Understand and exercise the principles of Workplace Health and Safety requirements, as well as Equal Opportunity policies and procedures.
- Commitment to the University’s values. Appointment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory National Criminal History check and a valid NT Working with Children clearance. You must have the ability to work within the Department of Corrections and hold a valid NT driver’s licence. Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at VET Teaching Academic Level A. The base salary will be in the range of $76,604
- $114,924 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $89,626
