Senior Structural Engineer
WSP Darwin has a significant amount of Defence projects driving need for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing team. Work as part of a collaborative and high performing team. Project lead work across the design, delivery and tender phases for multi-year/packaged work for turnkey projects. Ensure timely and quality of delivery for project and structural engineering work in support of relevant technical, commercial and regulatory standards – and in alignment with schedules and budgets. Handle ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with local clients. Manage effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally. Provide sound technical/delivery guidance for the team. Mentor, train and develop the careers of junior engineers. Partner with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting. Experience & Skills
Bachelor to Masters' level degree (Civil/Structural Engineering). RPEQ qualified or close to completion. Minimum 8-12 years post graduate industry experience. Commercial experience in Australia or Recent Zealand on medium/large building structure engineering projects is essential. Eligibility to obtain Australian Defence full security clearance is essential – only eligible to Australian Citizens (Permanent Resident, NZ Citizens & Visa holders are not eligible). Exposure across a range of local building sectors, e.g., transport, health, retail, defence. Familiar with ETABS, RAM Concept and Microstran. Solid consultancy experience in a client facing role with ability to lead projects. Track record of effective cross-discipline project delivery. Experience coaching & mentoring junior engineers across technical and project delivery aspects. We are committed to providing an inclusive, diverse and equal opportunity workplace.
