Site Manager – Remote & Urban Construction | Northern Territory

From Darwin to Katherine, Alice Springs and remote communities across the Top End, Big Rivers and Barkly regions, QCM is known for safety, reliability, and quality workmanship on government asset projects. About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive, experienced Site Manager to oversee construction activities across urban and remote NT locations. You’ll manage trades on site, coordinate with project delivery teams, ensure compliance with all safety documentation, and represent QCM professionally in the community. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead multiple trade teams on site.
- Supervise projects on government-owned assets across Darwin, Katherine, Alice Springs & remote communities.
- Travel and stay in remote areas as required.
- Use an iPad to:
- Manage email communications
- View site plans (including BAAMS drawings)
- Upload photo/video documentation
- Prepare Scopes of Works
- Capture digital signatures and submit weekly reports
- Track work completion, hours, and materials used
- Ensure all contractors complete and submit:
- SWMS (Secure Work Method Statements)
- Before, during & after photos
- Certificates of Compliance (COC)
- Insurance and safety documentation
- Oversee materials on site, manage hold points and witness points.
- Conduct site inspections including:
- Assessing condition of buildings
- Estimating materials/labour
- Drafting scopes and budgets What You Bring
- Proven experience in construction site management, ideally in remote or government projects.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of OH&S; requirements and safety documentation.
- Confident communicator with stakeholders, tradespeople, and clients.
- Comfortable using iPad tools and apps for field-based management.
- Professional, reliable, and adaptable in diverse community settings.
- Able to obtain (or already hold):
- PF166 card
