Marketing and Events Specialist
4 days per week | Term time only | 6-month contract About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Marketing and Events Specialist to join a dynamic independent school community on a 6-month, part-time basis, located in Collaroy NSW. Working 4 days per week during term time, this role is responsible for the coordination and delivery of marketing activities, events, and communications that support student enrolments and community engagement. You will play a key role in managing school tours, open days, information evenings, and community events, while also supporting digital marketing campaigns, content production, and administrative marketing functions. This position works closely with the Marketing Director and Business Manager and liaises with staff, parents, students, alumni, and external partners to deliver a high standard of professional communication and event execution. Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all school events including open days, tours, expos, information evenings, orientations, and community engagement activities
- Support lead management and nurture prospective families through email marketing campaigns and CRM/marketing automation systems
- Assist with content collection and editing for publications including the school yearbook
- Liaise with external design and print agencies to support marketing collateral and production
- Manage website updates, social media content posting, and general marketing administration
- Process invoices, maintain records, and assist with reporting and data collation
- Support broader marketing and communications initiatives as required About you
You are a highly organised, proactive marketing professional who thrives in a busy, fast-paced workplace. You bring strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. You will also have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related discipline
- Experience in marketing, events, or communications (education sector experience highly regarded)
- Strong digital marketing capability including email marketing systems, Meta platforms, and WordPress
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
- Sound IT skills including Microsoft Office Requirements
- Must hold or be willing to obtain a Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to commencement
- Ability to work 4 days per week during term time, with occasional flexibility for events outside standard hours (time in lieu provided)
