About the Role We are seeking an ICT Help Desk & Desktop Support professional to provide high-quality technical support across end-user systems, devices, and applications. This role is primarily based at the Hanwha Armoured Vehicle Centre of Excellence (H-ACE) in Avalon, supporting production and operational ICT systems. You may occasionally be required to attend our Melbourne CBD office to support broader ICT or business activities. Responsibilities
- Manage ICT requests via helpdesk system, phone, and email.
- Provide first-line support including onsite and remote assistance.
- Troubleshoot issues using structured diagnostic techniques.
- Deploy and support hardware/software, including onboarding and user account setup.
- Support and troubleshoot S/4HANA ERP‑related user issues prior to escalation.
- Assist in developing support procedures and user training materials.
- Maintain ICT service quality and ensure robust internal customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to all security and data protection standards.
- Contribute to system availability targets (SLAs) and a positive user experience.
- Support broader ICT initiatives as required by ICT leadership. Qualifications
- Degree in ICT, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, ITIL). Required Skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
- Highly organised with strong time management.
- Team‑oriented with a collaborative approach.
- Detail-focused with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Able to meet deadlines in a structured environment. Experience
- Previous experience in a helpdesk/desktop support role.
- Experience developing support procedures (highly desirable).
- Experience in user account administration (desirable).
- Exposure to Microsoft cloud services and endpoint tools (highly desirable).
- Experience using Microsoft technologies (e.g., Intune, Windows OS, M365) (desirable).
- Defence industry experience (highly regarded). What we can offer you
