FitMyCar is a manufacturer and distributor of a large range of aftermarket car accessories. FitMyCar is growing quickly, and as a result has an prospect for a full time permanent afternoon shift vacuum forming machine operator based at our manufacturing facility, warehouse and office located at Avalon Airport, in Lara, Victoria.

About the role

We are looking for a technically minded person experienced in setting, troubleshooting and operating production machinery who is energetic, enthusiastic and happy to be trained in all areas of operation.

You will have demonstrated production experience in a quick paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Setting and operating computer controlled vacuum forming and trimming machines

Assembling add-on components as required

Changing over moulds and jigs according to the production schedule

Troubleshooting and correcting problems if they occur

Loading plastic sheets into the machine using a forklift

Packing scrap onto pallets and moving it using a forklift

Following procedures and safe working practices

Keeping the workplace clean and tidy

Other duties as required from time to time

Experience setting and operating production equipment

Technical aptitude for troubleshooting and fixing problems

Reliable, punctual, responsible and with a strong work ethic

Available for Saturday and weekday overtime work if required

Physically fit (lifting up to 25kg)

Have worked in a fast paced environment

Excellent attention to detail

Energetic and enthusiastic

Works safely and efficiently

Keeps workplace tidy

Follows procedures

Basic computer skills (moving files, opening files)

Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English

Forklift license
